The manufacturing documents behind your private-label order.
For a private-label cosmetics project in India, distinguish product evidence, batch records and company credentials. This guide describes documents available from SOUL ARÔME and the questions to settle before ordering. It is a company-specific documentation guide; the legal documents your brand must hold depend on its actual activities and require separate review.
Certificate of Analysis: agree the product and batch scope
SOUL ARÔME provides Certificates of Analysis (COAs). Ask which product or batch the COA identifies, which specifications and results it records, and when it will be provided in the order workflow. Review the document against the product specification agreed for your SKU.
A COA should be read for the tests and scope actually recorded. Do not assume that its presence establishes every efficacy, performance or marketing claim proposed for the product.
Request the reports relevant to your product
Testing reports for the products we manufacture are available from our team. State the tests or evidence requested by your brand, buyer or distribution partner so the team can confirm the relevant report and its connection to the selected formula.
Batch and stability testing are carried out in-house. External testing through a NABL-accredited laboratory can be arranged when required, with the laboratory work, report scope, timing and cost agreed separately. Existing reports and new testing are different deliverables; confirm which your quotation includes.
BMRs and BPRs: clarify access and deliverables
We maintain Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) and Batch Packing Records (BPRs). These are part of the production and packing record system. Agree which records will be supplied or made available for review, the applicable product or batch and the access arrangements for your order.
Request your document schedule before production rather than assuming every internal record accompanies dispatch. The team can discuss the records relevant to the transaction and confirm the agreed deliverables in writing.
Company certificates and supplier documentation
Our certifications page contains snapshots of the uploaded ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 22716:2007 certificates, the cosmetic manufacturing licence grant letter and company registration documents. Read the company name, scope and dates when reviewing applicability to your project.
Materials are sourced from certified suppliers. If your party requires a particular supplier document or additional certification, identify it by name and purpose. The team will confirm what is applicable and available; a supplier certification is separate from the finished-product test report.
Put the document list into the quotation
List the COA, product reports, batch-record access and any additional certifications requested for each SKU. Agree the version or batch reference, delivery stage and any additional testing or document charges before confirming the project. No blanket statement that all documents or external tests are included is made here.
The brand-side legal onboarding checklist has not been specified in this guide. Ask the team which business details it needs for your project and obtain an appropriate regulatory review of your own obligations. This manufacturing-document summary does not replace that review.
- Name the required report or record and the product it concerns.
- Confirm existing report availability versus new testing.
- Record document delivery or review access, timing and any extra charges.
Questions before you enquire.
Can I request a COA and testing reports?
Yes. COAs and relevant testing reports are available from SOUL ARÔME. Agree the product or batch scope, delivery timing and any additional work in your quotation.
Will every internal batch record be sent automatically?
BMRs and BPRs are maintained. Confirm the records supplied or made available for review and the access arrangements for your order rather than assuming automatic delivery of every internal document.
Is this a complete list of legal documents required for a cosmetics brand in India?
No. This guide describes manufacturer-provided records. The documents your brand must hold depend on its actual activities; establish that checklist through a suitable regulatory review.
